After Effects Notes

...artist-animators. With the more modern forms of colour film introduced in the early 1930s, opaque paints and coloured inks could be used on the cels. Cel animation required the use of a so-called rostrum camera, which photographs downward onto the background with its series of superimposed cel layers pegged into place to secure accurate registration.

After Effects once again proves its incredible usefulness
Do a RAM preview for realtime preview of your After Effects animation before actually rendering to double check how everything goes.

Motion Blue aids in the stillness of stop motion (Etc, South Park).

Layer >> 3D Layer
Now 3 Axises are available

Effects>> Distort>> Offset (Infinity Moving Background)
Must however consider the seamlessness
Use Photoshop to clean that up

Furthest layer should move the least, nearest should move the most

Motion blur only works on the edge of shapes, and so does not effect the offset

Offset and directional blur

Effects>> Simulation (Such as rain)

Layer>> Camera
Point of Interest
Doesn't matter what layer the camera is on

Each layer must be set to receive shadows
Chosen Layer>>Material Options>> Casts Shadows

Tracking shot
Animation>> Track Motion (the inner box looks for that shape for the next frame)
Outer box is the search area

Tick all the things on the side to get all the boxes
