WeLoveFine is an online shop that sells a wide range of creative licensed products designed by fans throughout the world. Aside from tees, the site also sells products such as leggings, bags, dresses, jackets, coats, plushies, vinyl toys, jewellery and so much more. Numerous design contests are also held where prizes such as money or trips can be given.
What?
WeLoveFine's newest On-Going Contest is centres around Natasha Allegri's "Bee and PuppyCat" series, an American animated series that initially started out as an animated web series, but eventually became popular enough to be featured on other forms of media, it also presently has a comic book series that is being released by Boom! Studios.
How?
A maximum of 10 entries can be submitted per person (I will try to at least get 5 done for this one, which is actually the maximum number shown on their Overview Contest FAQ), and must be submitted as either a GIF, PNG or JPG. As expected, before submitting in anything, you must indicate your full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of the Official Rules and Mighty Fine's (Sponsor) decisions.
Designs with inappropriate or other copy righted materials will be rejected, also a direct photograph or a scribble you drew on a piece of paper is not considered a shirt design and will also not be accepted.
Winners will be chosen through a rating system, but will also have to be approved by the licensor before it can be announced as a winner.
When?
Winners will be announced at the release of every new episode starting from November 20th onwards, 1 winner is announced every 2 weeks, and presently, the schedule for each announcement is:

Why?
But while there technically is ample time to submit something in, the deadline for the Responsive module is much sooner than this brief's final deadline, so hopefully I will be able to submit in some designs as early as I possibly can.
Why?
Each winner will win $250 and the winning shirts will also be available for purchase as soon as they are announced. While this design contest follows a very similar premise to the Qwertee brief, it does however focus solely on one series, instead of allowing you to design whatever you want, which actually allows entrants to focus better on what they should design, as well as brainstorm better for them.
Much like the Qwertee contest, I picked this brief in hopes of bettering myself when it comes to not just my illustrations, but also when it comes to properly designing for products and merchandises (To see how well a supposedly flat drawing will look once it is applied to various mediums).
I absolutely adore this series and it has remained one of my biggest animation inspirations since I first watched the pilot, and this would just be an absolutely wonderful opportunity to work on some proper designs for it (As I had wanted to so very long ago).
Who is the audience?

Who is the audience?
Despite its tone and art style, "Bee and PuppyCat", much like "Adventure Time" and "Regular Show" has always been aimed at a much older audience than they first appear to be. While it is definitely still aimed at children, a larger part of its target audience definitely comprises of teenagers and even adults.
WeLoveFine also definitely caters more to those age groups than to children.
Can you foresee any problems in responding to the brief?
There will always be that issue of hitting a creative brick wall when you are trying to design something, be it original or based on an existing series. Much like what happened to me when I was working on the Pan MacMillan and Qwertee briefs, it is very possible that I might end up winging my designs in a desperate attempt to meet the school brief's five individual brief criteria, instead of properly putting my heart and soul into each design. But hopefully it will not come to that.
