We have decided to narrow it further down to cakes (One of the best known types of desserts, regardless of where you come from), and still wish to keep up the premise that this is meant to be a series of sorts (There will be a small hint at the end saying that the next episode will actually focus on ice cream). We will of course still keep it to the European area to make things easier for ourselves (Especially if we remember that the duration is only meant to be 1-2 minutes long).
We still definitely wish to approach this in a 2D manner, and we have more than enough references and inspiration when it comes to this project's art style, animation style and colour scheme.
Structure:
- Title
- A Brief History on Cake (Possibly the Symbolism behind them too)
- Types of Cakes
- How, Where and When Cakes are Used
- A Showcase of the huge Variety of Cakes we now have (This is where we just throw into hordes and hordes of Beautiful Cakes)
- Preview to the "Next Episode"
- Credits
- Will overall be presented in a very humorous manner (Hopefully we can get someone to narrate in a Tom Kenny-ish manner)
- Homage to cheesy educational videos (More mood boards to come)
- Done in a slightly 1950s style in terms of narration and art style (Yup... more mood boards to come)
- Colour scheme will be much more vibrant however
- Fairly zany 2D animation (With 90s toons as our main source of inspiration)
- We will still keep it down to european based cakes
- Inclusion of human characters instead of merely anthropomorphising food (Though that could probably be included too?)
- While definitely aimed at the family, this will particularly be aimed at kids from 7 to 12 years old
