It didn't take too long for my partner and I to decide on a brief during this session (Even though I brought 5 instead of 3 briefs myself), while there were a few other interesting choices, we felt that they would work better as Individual briefs. And so without further ado, we decided to work on the WWF brief, that not only focuses on a subject matter we are both fairly interested in, but is also fairly open when it comes to what it is they want submitted in.
And as animation students, with two of us working together now, we believe that we might be able to create some form of animation, instead of mere storyboard concepts like the previous Studio Brief.
For my partner's reference. |
Aside from discussing over our chosen brief and what possible ideas we had, we also needed to fill out a contract that we could go back on should any issues occur between my partner and I (Hopefully it will not come to that as we are both very accommodating people).
While I had a rough idea on what creative and non-creative areas my partner specialised in, I was still not entirely sure on what I should fill in for certain parts of the form, as we have yet to fully confirm our idea concept for this brief. I will most probably have to alter it when necessary, but one thing is for certain that we will keep our budget in close check, aside from splitting up the submission costs, we will try not to spend too much money on anything else.
Before the next session, I will hopefully be able to gather a decent amount of research (I believe we already have sufficient resources to create a visual mood board to refer to for our idea's art style) as well as develop some concepts to share with my partner. I must however make sure to properly fill out the contract that was provided to us as we will both have to sign it during the next session.
